Johnisha Levi currently works in the Boston area as a pastry cook in a farmstand kitchen, where the rustic meets refined and the bakery goods are truly farm to table. In her former professional life, she practiced employee benefits law. Small wonder that she now finds happiness in the kitchen!
Johnisha is a 1999 graduate of Harvard College, where she majored in English Literature, and a 2011 graduate of Johnson & Wales University’s baking & pastry arts program. She has interned in the test kitchen and the social media department of America’s Test Kitchen/Cook’s Illustrated. Her writing has appeared in Northern Virginia Magazine. She spent a bucolic month in Rensselaerville, New York as a 2013 LongHouse Food Media Scholar. Some of her favorite things are pistachios, marzipan, dark chocolate, sweet potatoes, brown butter, and dried tart cherries. You can follow her @johnishalev.
