Pomegranate and Apple Cider Sorbet

This refreshing sorbet captures the flavors of autumn, with pomegranate and apple cider.
¾ cup water
½ cup granulated sugar
2 cups pomegranate juice
1 cup apple cider
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- Combine the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Cool.
- Mix the cooled syrup with the pomegranate juice, apple cider, and lemon juice to combine. Taste to check for sweetness (it should be sweeter than desired, since the sweetness will diminish as it chills).
- Once the mixture is combined, transfer it to an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions, spinning for about 20 minutes. Transfer to a container with a tight fitting lid and freeze until ready to serve.
