Roasted Brussels Sprouts

This is a basic recipe that you can jazz up with fresh herbs, flavored oils and vinegars and other ingredients as you wish. It will multiply and divide easily.

1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts

1 tablespoon olive oil

½  teaspoon salt

⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick vegetable oil spray.
  2. Arrange the Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet in a single layer, drizzle with the oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss lightly to coat.
  3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are softened, cooked through, browned on the edges, and the tip of a sharp knife pierces them easily.
