Sweet and Salty Maple Peanuts

Sweet and Salty Maple Peanuts

This snack is a hit at parties. It’s also a versatile addition to sweets such as cookies, crumbles, and candy, or savory Chinese, Southeast Asian, and Thai dishes.

Ingredients

2 cups salted peanuts, Virginia preferred

½ cup maple syrup, B grade preferred

2 tablespoon dark brown sugar

½ teaspoon Maldon salt or another large grain sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a Silpat or parchment paper.
  2. Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir to coat.
  3. Bake 5 minutes. Remove from oven and stir to coat the peanuts. Cool completely. Cover and store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
