LaurieAnn Scher, MS, RD, CDE holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from Cornell University and a Master of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Nutrition from Columbia University Teachers College. She is a Certified Diabetic Educator.
Over her 25 years in practice as a registered dietitian, LaurieAnn has also taught on the college level and worked as a dietitian for group homes for the mentally disabled, daycare centers and preschools, the Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders, a pediatric endocrine practice and as a private practitioner. LaurieAnn provides individual nutrition counseling and conducts workshops, lectures and support groups helping people with eating disorders, body image issues, diabetes, PCOS, metabolic syndrome, celiac and other gastrointestinal issues, insulin resistance, food allergies, weight management including low body weight, health and wellness. LaurieAnn is a co-author of Creative Calories and Recipes for Weight Gain.
